A Very Merry Thanksgiving

Even though our visa doesn’t allow us to stay on until Christmas, we got to enjoy the next best thing here: Thanksgiving. Sally and Racey invited us to their lovely home in Connecticut together with 20 other lucky ducks (mostly family) to eat turkey, pies and more side dishes than you can shake a stick at.

We started the day off with the traditional Macy's Thanksgiving parade.

We wanted to cross over into the park but obviously that was not going to happen...

The perfect setting for Thanksgiving day.

The table is ready.

The turkey gets it.

Meanwhile, back in the city the Christmas season is coming closer and closer. Decorations are going up everywhere and ice skating is the entertainment of choice.

the turkey dinner looks great, but i can’t seem to see the bucket where you once learned to marinate your turkey overnight by hanging it outside the window… ???

That story totally came up! Everyone was very impressed with your ingenuity, especially the part about the chair… 🙂
