Jumping Into the New Year

We spent the holidays with family in Caracas which was, well, the same as usual. This time around there was no sugar or flour to be had for love or good money but we made the best of things and baked cookies without flour (coconut macaroons FTW!) and using grated papelón (raw hardened sugar cane pulp) instead of sugar. Worked a treat.

And anyway, we were much too busy to worry about the missing basics because Santa brought a very special present this year: a trampoline! Ostensibly this was a present for Mila but the adults in the family enjoyed it possibly even more.

Other than that, this picture of Catire in our bed pretty much sums up the rest of the vacation. Warm and relaxing. Bring it on 2013!
