Happy Halloween

Dear reader,

I’ve heard there are people out there who don’t care about Halloween but if you’re one of those people then we probably wouldn’t like each other. Because that means you don’t like dressing up or ghosts or worst of all, candy. So I’m just going to assume you all love Halloween at least half as much as I do.

And of course there’s Halloween here in Japan. (Thank god because I’ve been bothering the authorities about this for the past two months and they would have been in some serious trouble if there had been no Halloween here.)

It took me a while to come up with the perfect costume but in the end I decided on Alice in Wonderland because that’s what Transportation is reading to me at night right now.

They had a whole Halloween festival in Kitayama with pumpkin carving, a parade and a market.

Because it was the weekend they had two full days of fun at the festival. Really it was just the same stuff all over again but I still made the authorities go back on the second day. This time by bike, so everyone was happy.

Dinner was special Halloween fare, of course.

I can’t wait for Christmas. Let’s hope I get to dress up again. Maybe a reindeer? Or an elf, ooh, an elf would be great. Lemme go talk to Catering about that. Bye!
