Sayonara Nihon

Hi guys!

It’s been raining here in Taipei so everyone’s in a bit of a tetchy mood. But nothing a fun blog post with some pretty pictures can’t change! I see we haven’t really wrapped up our last week in Japan so I shall remedy that right now.

Nagasaki and Kagoshima were a bit drab in terms of weather (I guess that’s the “autumn” thing everyone talks about?!) but of course we had fun anyway.

In Kagoshima, the most southern city in Japan and the end of the Shinkansen line, we went to see Sakurajima, the volcano that lies in the bay before the city. It’s usually really active (over 700 eruptions last year) but for some reason this year it has been very quiet. Maybe it’s tired of spitting up so much. I know what that’s like.

The dinosaur park was at the top of a steep road but it was so worth the climb.

The aquarium was pretty neat too.

And then it was already our last night in Japan. Where did the time go?!

As I mentioned, now we’re in Taipei where the weather is a bit dismal. But we’ve already seen a bit of the city anyway and tomorrow we’re going to the zoo to see panda bears! Oh boy, that’s going to be great…

Night night guys!

one day the kids will realise that there are 1000s of people in Japan with their pictures in their foto albums showing others the day they met the two little blondes 🙂
